I’ve been buying books from here since I first discovered it almost a decade ago: the charming A Different Drummer Books in Burlington. This is where I had my memoir’s launch last week.

Manager Ian kindly donated the store’s commission from sales of my book, due to the proceeds going to SAVIS’ outreach. This was a huge kindness, but you know, Ian is that kind of guy. He is personable, helpful and knowledgeable, and this special shop, housed in a former Victorian home, is what most people dream of for a neighbourhood bookstore.

Here is a photo of Ian and me, just before we got busy. Over forty people showed up for my talk, and I sold quite a few books!  A big Thank You, Ian!
