Carla Zabek attended my September launch, and then invited me to speak at a book club event in her home. She knew proceeds are being donated to SAVIS of Halton, a charitable organization that helps survivors, and she wanted to help promote the book. Her group were good listeners who also participated in a little word quiz I organized (to get ideas for future speeches). They asked intelligent and sensitive questions and I enjoyed talking with them about the memoir and my writing process.
I appreciate Carla’s thoughtfulness and help in selling ten copies. She has a lovely home that is decorated beautifully for the holidays, and it was a warm and inviting space to be in. Thank you, Carla!! Below are a few photos
